ChargePoint

ChargePoint is the largest online global charging network connecting electric vehicle drivers to charging stations in more than 14 countries. ChargePoint offers service plans of cloud-based solutions that handle all drivers billing and support. This provides organizations the control and flexibility they need to optimize performance of their electric vehicle charging operations. Open to all charging station manufacturers, stations on ChargePoint are currently dispensing over 577 Megawatt hours of energy each month, with drivers plugging in for more than 3,300 charging sessions per day.

Marketing ManagerJuly 2013 – February 2014

Piqora

Piqora is an early stage Social Analytics/SaaS startup that provides a complete marketing suite for Pinterest, Instagram and Tumblr. Hundreds of large retailers, brands and publishers including Crate & Barrel, Steve Madden, West Elm, Zappos, etc. use Piqora.

I am responsible for the complete marketing/lead generation cycle, starting with content creation (e-books, case studies, videos, etc) and pushing it out via email marketing (using Marketo w/Salesforce integration), social media, the blog, PR, advertising, and content partnerships. Achievements to date include:

  • Implemented new email marketing program that generates 1200 targeted leads monthly
  • Authored whitepapers, guides, research reports and case studies to double the content library to fifteen pieces of collateral
  • Conceptualized and created content, specs and wireframe for our website Resource Center, the first in our industry niche; it generates 28% of website conversions
  • Worked with engineering team to develop studies that were covered in industry pubs like TechCrunch, AdWeek, VentureBeat, etc
  • Redesign all collateral to be more elegant and mobile friendly

Digital Air Strike

Digital Air Strike is the leading provider of social media, reputation management, and Internet lead response (SaaS) solutions in the automotive sector. We serve thousands of car dealers across the US.

My duties and responsibilities related primarily to Product and Content Marketing, but also spanned Marcom and Digital Marketing. Digital Air Strike has seen a 400% y/y increase in leads from inbound campaigns built around my content, including market research studies, webinars, white papers, and case studies.

  • Primary content creator for all inbound marketing and lead gen activities, including whitepapers, webinars, case studies, research studies, press releases, etc
  • Develop strategic positioning & go-to-market strategies for product launches
  • Manage pilot test programs – work with product development, accounts, marketing, sales and external partners to launch and monitor pilot programs with dealers. Identify key objectives and metrics, track pre/post program results and provide reporting to management
  • Webmaster: Manage strategy for SEO, lead capture, copy/content, design upgrades, etc.
  • Create bi-annual market research studies for Leadership Marketing purposes – most recent study was featured on NBC News, USA Today, Cars.com and various other industry pubs

I founded CleanTech Media Solutions in early 2011 in order to provide digital marketing and PR solutions to the clean technology sector, which at the time was burgeoning but behind the digital marketing curve. Digital Air Strike offered me a job I couldn’t refuse 6 months after CleanTech Media Solutions was founded, but the blog remains popular and I still accept select projects.
